Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides secure, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale cloud computing easier for developers. Amazon EC2’s simple web service interface allows you to obtain and configure capacity with minimal friction.
Steps to create Virtual Instance are:
- Login and access to AWS services
- Choose AMI
- Choose EC2 Instance Types
- Configure Instance
- Add Storage
- Tag Instance
- Configure Security Groups
- Review Instances.
- AWS Educate Account
- Putty Key Generator

Step 2:Once logged in , you will be welcomed to your AWS Educate Account and shows account status .Then, click on the AWS Console .
Step3:New virtual machine must be created so Click on “Launchavirtualmachine”.
Step 4: Click on Launch Instance
Step 5:Once the instance is launched ,user should follow the seven step to launch a virtual machine .Initially,Choose An Amazon Machine Image(AMI) .Select Free TierEligible AMI.

Step 14:After the launch instances is successful, the following page appears with message “Your instances are now launching.”
Step 15:Click on the instance ID and it will redirect to the instances create which consists of name, instance id, instance state, type, status check.
Step16:Open the Putty Key Generator.
Download PuttyGen and Putty
Putty.exe : 64-bit x86
puttygen.exe – 64 bits (a RSA and DSA key generation utility)
Step 17:Click on the Load Button where the previously downloaded pem file is uploaded from its respective saved location to generate private key .
Once the pem file is loaded, click on the SSH-1(RSA) options and click on save private key. It will generate a dialog box to save the generated private key. Select the location to save the key and the key is downloaded.
